Established in 1989 and based in New York, LTS has recently emerged
as a strong leader in the field of high-purity optical coating
materials, electronic chemicals, and performance chemicals
fabrication. Beginning with the production of high laser damage
threshold oxides, LTS has expanded its range of products to include
fluorides, selenides, sulfides, tellurides, raw materials for
crystal growth, and performance chemicals for the opto-electronics
industry |
|
LTS is becoming recognized worldwide for its ultra-high
purity materials created through DFM®
a novel production method for fluorides that allows us to surpass
material quality achieved by conventional means. We have also
designed new transmission enhancing oxide compounds through liquid
phase formulation (LPF). |
|
Our unique integrated manufacturing capabilities facilitate a strong
program of made-to-order items. Since we manufacture many of our own
starting materials, we maintain total control over every production
process. This enables us to make adjustments to materials and
processing techniques at whatever point necessary to match the exact
requirements of our customers' specifications. In many cases, what
start out as adjustments result in sophisticated production
techniques, which are permanently incorporated into our
manufacturing process. This is one of the many reasons we remain on
the cutting edge of chemical manufacturing technology, and are able
to continually meet the changing demands of our customers.
|
|
LTS supplies materials to a variety of markets including optics, fiber
optics, electronics, automotive, aerospace, crystal growth and the
fuel cell. We are capable of vacuum, inert gas, and reactive
atmosphere processing, wet-chemical precipitation, milling,
blending, sintering, solid-liquid-gas formulation, hot-pressing, hot
isostatic pressing, and machining. We have a state-of-the-art
research lab that also provides full range of analytical services. |
|
LTS has experienced a steady growth due to its diversity of products and
variety of customers. A 26,000 sq. ft. expansion is envisioned in
2003 to house a new production facility and research lab that will
allow us to continue to provide superior products and services to
our clients.
